Can I just say that lace patterns can be an absolute bear. I came up with my own lace pattern for poison ivy leaves because I couldn't find one I liked. I'm only a few rows in and already somehow my count is off??? Like what is this nonsense?
*Grumbles as I back up 2 rows to see where the problem is*
*Facedesk* there were extra yarn over loops and twisted stitches in the purl row I just finished. THE PURL ROW!!! Like how did I mess that up??
I'm just ranting it's 3am and I'm having knitting problems, the pattern itself looks fine on paper.
See you on the flipside, I'll tell you all about it when I have it fixed.
Update: I figured out what the problem was with the pattern itself. I made the pattern in an excel spreadsheet (because I could) and I used a 2 square notation for Knit 2 together (like I'd note a K2 in each cell to be knit together), it turns out that threw off my stitch count rather thoroughly, because when I got to the end of each lace row I'd have WAY too many stitches but when I went through and deleted every other K2 the pattern itself turned out fine and the stitch count resolved, I don't know how that works but somehow it resolved my issue.
